Located 15 miles west of Cooperstown,New York this property is offered for weekly or monthly rental this summer. Excellent opportunities for Baseball related activities (Baseball Hall of Fame,Dreams Park) visit museums,hike nature trails,boating on Otsego Lake,fishing in streams or lakes or ride horses on nearby farms.(See Cooperstown New York Otsego County Tourism Events (webpage).
For Birding Enthusiasts, birds that nest on the property are: American Kestrel,olive sided-flycatchers,evening grosbeaks, purple finches,tree swallows,common yellowthroat and many more. Nest boxes and feeders are maintained on the property. This is a no hunting zone and a sanctuary for fox,opossum and of course white-tailed deer.
The cabin is both rustic and elegant inside.
Master bedroom: Queen sized deluxe bed with pinewood ceiling and walls. Carpeted. Chinese paintings of birds and horses,other art-worthy treasures.
Second bedroom: twin bed with deluxe new mattress, tasteful artwork,carpeted.
Living room: a plush couch invites you to relax as you view dvds.
The spacious kitchen has formica covered counters and multiple cabinets. There is a large cooking island made of hardwood, excellent for elaborate meal prepeations.
The tall darkwood dining table with high-backed chairs offer views of the fields and lawns, making any meal an experience that awakens all of the senses.
The grounds have three acres of manicured lawns with 5 acres of fields,including a stream, wild orchard, tall trees and hayfelds. There is a barbeque grill for grilling, lawn chairs for relaxing on as you sunbathe on the partially shaded lawn.
Nearest neighbors are closeby, friendly and helpful.
This place would be ideal for a couple with or without children. Pets are negotiable.
Please note: The Cabin is not available during the months October -April. Please book in with me AT Least 3 weeks before your stay. Your rental fee and deposit must be in my possession and cleared in my account (if a check) 10 days prior arrival. No exceptions. This cabin is available for 1-2 months at a time for long-term stays if the person can document they are living in the area for that time.
