Quiet mountain retreat with spectacular views that look out on the mountains of the Catskill park. No buildings are visible, except in the winter when you can see the alpaca farm down the road. Newly furnished 2006, cathedral ceiling, balcony, wood stove, deck, all new appliances: from washer/dryer to coffee grinder to saki cups. Double glass doors lead to the front deck, windows all around bring in the outdoors. DSL, Wifi, 32” TV with surround sound system/radio/dvd/cd/vhs/tape (no TV reception--but Video store is in town & I have some movies--or bring your own and a xbox. Trails run through my lands past organic plantings of fruit & nut trees & hundreds of plantings that support the abundant wildlife, from bluebirds to eagles, and pass a pond and 2 streams on my adjoining land.
Located on a quiet dirt road adjoining thousands of acres of the Pepacton Reservoir. A 10 minute walk from the front door will have you fishing on NYC’s largest reservoir. I have a boat you can use if you have a fishing license and reservoir permit. The quiet winding road that runs below my properties is a favorite for bicyclists—you will see only 7 homes between my place & Downsville—some 14 miles further down the reservoir. While seven miles in the other direction will bring you in the delightful village of Andes with shops, restaurants and galleries.
This is a nature preserve, a quiet haven. I do not want any off road machines of any kind whining about, be it ski mobiles, ATVs, dirt bikes or any variation on that theme. No smoking indoors.
